Privacy

How we handle your data.

Last updated: May 27, 2026 · Beta version

This is a beta privacy summary. A full policy with the specific subprocessor list and your data-rights mechanisms lands before any paid conversion goes live. If you have questions today, write hello@bytheway.biz and you'll get a real human reply.

What we collect

  • Your email — for sign in (magic links) and for the daily reminder if you have it on.
  • Your name and Bible translation — set in onboarding; you control both.
  • Your timezone — so the daily reminder lands at 7am for you, not 7am UTC.
  • What you write inside the app — Weekly Sync entries, Annual Review reflections, Daily 60 completions, Date Night picks, Hard Conversations you've opened. All of this is yours.
  • Your marriage details — anniversary date, kids' ages, partner pairing, only what you enter.

What we don't collect

  • No third-party advertising trackers.
  • No selling your data. Not now, not later.
  • No microphone, camera, or location access.
  • No social-network integrations that read your friend graph.

Who sees what

Your responses in Weekly Sync and Annual Review are hidden from your partner until you both complete your side (the blind-reveal step is the whole point). Friday Reflect entries are private to you forever — your partner never sees those. Everything else shared with your partner is shared because you chose to share it.

Who we share with

  • Supabase — our database and auth provider (US-East data center).
  • Resend — sends your magic-link and daily reminder emails.
  • Vercel — hosts the web app.

That's it. We don't share with anyone else — not advertisers, not analytics resellers, not data brokers.

Deleting your account

Reply to any Daily Us email or write hello@bytheway.biz with "delete my account" — we'll do it within seven days and confirm by email. Self-service account deletion is on the roadmap.
